International Journal of Artificial Intelligence Engineering and Transformation
Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
The International Journal of Artificial Intelligence Engineering and Transformation (IJAIET) is dedicated to upholding the highest ethical standards throughout the publication process. All stakeholders—authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—are expected to adhere to the following principles to prevent malpractice and maintain the integrity of scholarly communication in the field of artificial intelligence and its transformative applications.
1. Duties of Authors
Originality and Plagiarism
Authors must submit only original work. Any use of previously published material, ideas, algorithms, code, or data must be properly cited and acknowledged. Plagiarism in any form—including self-plagiarism—is considered unethical and will not be tolerated.
Multiple Submissions
Authors must not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal at the same time. Simultaneous submissions or redundant publications are unethical and will lead to immediate rejection.
Accuracy and Data Integrity
Authors are responsible for presenting accurate, reproducible, and verifiable data. Research involving AI models, datasets, simulations, or software must be reported with transparency regarding experimental setup, evaluation metrics, and limitations. Data falsification, manipulation, or misrepresentation is strictly prohibited.
Conflict of Interest
Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence their research. This includes, but is not limited to, financial relationships (e.g., with AI companies, software vendors), patents, or affiliations that could be perceived as influencing the outcomes or interpretation of their work. All disclosures must be included at the time of submission.
2. Duties of Editors
Fair Play
Editors will assess manuscripts based on their academic merit—such as originality, technical soundness, and relevance to AI engineering—without regard to the authors' race, gender, religion, nationality, political views, or institutional affiliation.
Confidentiality
Editors must maintain confidentiality regarding submitted manuscripts and will only share information with the corresponding author, reviewers, or publisher as appropriate.
Conflict of Interest
Editors must recuse themselves from handling any manuscript in which they have a conflict of interest, whether personal, academic, or financial. In such cases, the manuscript will be reassigned to another impartial editor. Editors must ensure all ethical guidelines are followed during the review process and take action in cases of suspected malpractice.
3. Duties of Reviewers
Confidentiality
Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents and must not discuss or share them with anyone outside the editorial team, unless explicitly authorized by the editor.
Objectivity
Reviews should be objective, constructive, and focused on the scholarly quality of the work. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate and unacceptable. Reviewers should support their feedback with clear reasoning and evidence.
Acknowledgment of Sources
Reviewers should identify relevant prior work that the authors may have missed and alert editors to any significant overlap or potential plagiarism involving other published works.
Thank you for supporting the ethical standards and academic integrity of the International Journal of Artificial Intelligence Engineering and Transformation. By adhering to these principles, we collectively ensure the credibility and quality of research published in the field of AI engineering and innovation.
