International Journal of Artificial Intelligence Engineering and Transformation
Duties of Reviewers
The peer review process is a fundamental pillar of the editorial decision-making system at the International Journal of Artificial Intelligence Engineering and Transformation (IJAIET). Reviewers play a vital role in maintaining the quality, credibility, and scientific rigor of the journal. By offering detailed and thoughtful evaluations, reviewers help editors make informed decisions and provide authors with constructive feedback to enhance the clarity, validity, and impact of their work in the rapidly evolving fields of AI and engineering.
IJAIET affirms that participation in peer review is a shared academic responsibility for researchers committed to the advancement of ethical and innovative AI-driven research.
Timeliness
Reviewers are expected to complete evaluations within the designated review period. If a reviewer feels unqualified to assess a manuscript (e.g., due to insufficient expertise in a particular AI technique or domain) or anticipates a delay, they should promptly inform the editorial office and decline the invitation. This enables the editorial team to assign the manuscript to alternative reviewers and maintain an efficient review cycle for the benefit of authors and the research community.
Confidentiality
All manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. Reviewers must not share, discuss, or disclose manuscript content with unauthorized individuals unless explicit permission has been granted by the Editor-in-Chief under exceptional circumstances. Confidentiality is essential, especially in fields such as AI, where novel algorithms, proprietary models, or unpublished datasets may be involved.
Objectivity and Constructive Feedback
Reviewers should provide objective, balanced, and respectful assessments of the manuscript. Feedback should be aimed at improving the quality of the submission, focusing on areas such as methodology, accuracy, reproducibility, novelty, ethical implications, and relevance to the journal’s scope. Personal criticism directed toward authors is inappropriate and will not be tolerated. Reviewers are encouraged to suggest specific improvements, clarify ambiguous points, and raise valid concerns that support academic growth.
Acknowledgment of Sources
Reviewers should point out relevant literature that may have been overlooked by the authors, especially seminal or recent work in AI, machine learning, or engineering practices. All claims and results in the manuscript should be well-supported by appropriate citations. If a reviewer identifies significant overlap or duplication between the manuscript under review and previously published or known unpublished work, they should immediately notify the editorial team.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest, including personal, institutional, financial, or professional relationships with the authors or affiliated institutions. If a conflict exists, the reviewer should recuse themselves from the review process. This ensures impartiality and reinforces the journal’s commitment to fairness and transparency.
Reviewers are strictly prohibited from using unpublished information from the manuscript in their own work or sharing it with others. Any knowledge gained during the peer review process must be treated as privileged and confidential and may not be used for personal advantage.
By adhering to these principles, the International Journal of Artificial Intelligence Engineering and Transformation maintains a rigorous, fair, and ethical peer review system, ensuring that published research meets the highest standards of academic integrity and advances the global discourse on responsible AI and intelligent engineering innovation.
