International Journal of Artificial Intelligence Engineering and Transformation
Statement of Informed Consent
Authors submitting manuscripts to the International Journal of Artificial Intelligence Engineering and Transformation (IJAIET) are expected to uphold the highest ethical standards in conducting and reporting research in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and related transformative technologies. By submitting their work, authors affirm that their research has been carried out with integrity, transparency, and full regard for all applicable ethical considerations.
Informed consent is required in all studies involving human participants, user data, or human–AI interaction. Consent must be based on a clear and comprehensive understanding of the study’s objectives, methods, potential risks and benefits, and the voluntary nature of participation. Participants must be informed of their right to withdraw at any stage of the research without facing any adverse consequences.
It is the authors’ responsibility to ensure that ethical considerations are integrated throughout the entire research lifecycle—from design and data collection to analysis, publication, and post-publication handling. Sensitive information, including personal data or user interactions, must be managed with strict confidentiality and in compliance with relevant data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
In cases where formal approval from an institutional review board (IRB) or ethics committee is not mandated—such as for certain types of algorithmic or technical research—authors must still provide a clear justification for the exemption, and must demonstrate adherence to recognized ethical practices, including minimizing harm and protecting user privacy.
IJAIET reserves the right to request documentation or verification of ethical compliance at any stage of the submission or peer review process. Failure to meet these ethical standards may result in rejection of the manuscript or retraction of a published article.
By adhering to these principles, authors contribute to the ethical integrity, scientific credibility, and social responsibility of the research published in the International Journal of Artificial Intelligence Engineering and Transformation, supporting the development of AI technologies that are both innovative and ethically sound.
